Sarah Palin Makes Appearance At "Rolling Thunder"

Source: CBS News
Riding onto the scene on the back of a Harley-Davidson, Sarah Palin made a dramatic entrance Sunday at a much-anticipated appearance with the Rolling Thunder bike rally in Arlington, Virginia, an early stop on her recently-launched national bus tour.
Seems like she's positioning herself to make a political office run or some kind of publicity stunt, not sure yet.

A new CNN/Opinion Research Corporation national poll shows the former New York City mayor atop the slow-forming Republican primary field

Herman Cain: Accepts Debate Invitation And Good In Gallup Polling

Source: Herman Cain

Cain announces he will be at the June 23th, 2011 debate in New Hampshire Debate sponsored by CNN and WMUR at Saint Anslem College in Manchester. Herman announced May 21st, in Atlanta, that he was running for President as a GOP candidate.

Source: Gallup

Newly announced presidential candidate Herman Cain, although still not widely known, has the highest Positive Intensity Score among Republicans of any potential GOP candidate still in the race. The positioning of two other candidates who have recently announced presidential bids -- Tim Pawlenty and Ron Paul -- has not changed. Both have average or below-average appeal among Republicans. Newt Gingrich's Positive Intensity Score is below average, and is down from the week prior.

CNN: Rep. Ron Paul Takes 2nd Place in New Hampshire CNN Poll

Source: The State Column

I find it odd that most Fox News polls don't even mention or have Ron Paul listed, such as the post debate where Frank Luntz brought in twenty voters for their opinion rather than doing a scientific poll or a simple text message poll! How hard would it be for "Text in your vote for the Republican Debate to _____" and list all the candidates?

Rep. Peter King: "Considering" A 2012 Run

Source: Fox News

The pool of potential GOP presidential candidates may be getting a little more crowded. New York Rep. Peter King said Thursday he would "consider" a possible presidential run in 2012 - while at the same time encouraging his friend and fellow New Yorker, former Mayor Rudy Giuliani, to run as well.

Gallup Poll: Romney, Palin Lead Reduced GOP Field for 2012

Source: Gallup

Mitt Romney (17%) and Sarah Palin (15%) now lead a smaller field of potential Republican presidential candidates in rank-and-file Republicans' preferences for the party's 2012 nominee. Ron Paul, Newt Gingrich, and Herman Cain essentially tie for third, with Cain registering 8% support in his initial inclusion in Gallup "trial heat" polling. Notably, 22% of Republicans do not have a preference at this point.

This is very good since there is no front runner.. 22% applied to any candidate, or even split up, would be a clear winner.

Emphasizing the importance of the first-in-the-nation primary state to his campaign, former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney will formally announce his candidacy for President in New Hampshire next Thursday, June 2.

Plus he was nice enough to send some leftover slices of Gino's pizza to Obama's Chicago headquarters.

Sarah Palin: Bus Tour Among 2012 Speculation

Source: Washington Post

Well when you think Sarah Palin is out, she seems like she's still in or maybe using this publicity to push an upcoming book. Maybe she'll run for President, only Sarah knows. She has been reported previously about purchasing a home in Arizona, possibly to run for the Senate seat from retiring Senator Kyl.

Personally, what do I think? She may run for President and if that does not work out, run for the Senate seat. It's like putting in two job applications to increase your odds of getting a job.

NYPOST: Obama digging up dirt on potential opponent Chris Christie

Source: NY Post

Despite New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie's repeated pronouncements that he will not seek the GOP presidential nomination, Obama operatives are compiling a dossier of what they call "opposition research" -- material that could be used to damage Christie if he changes his mind, The Post has learned

Politico: Tim Pawlenty To Announce Presidential Bid On Monday

According to Politico, the former Minnesota governor will make the announcement at a town hall in Des Moines scheduled for 11:30 a.m.

Fox News: Mitch Daniels Exits GOP Race

Source: Fox News

From the article:

Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels joined the march of would-be GOP presidential hopefuls offstage Sunday in a dead-of-night decision that put his supporters in play and muddled the fight for front-runner status against President Barack Obama. Daniels' exit, which he said he made at his family's behest, clears the upcoming news cycle to absorb former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty's entry into the race Monday in Iowa.

I think all of this is potentially related to Mitch Daniels' divorce from his wife and his family being terrified, as they should (remember the Sarah Palin stalking by reporters?), from the media attention that would surround them if Gov. Daniels decided to run for President.

Herman Cain: "Right Of Return?" When Asked About Palestinians

Source: ABC News "The Note"

From the article:

In an interview with Chris Wallace on Fox News Sunday, Mr. Cain –widely considered to be a long-shot contender for the Republican Presidential nomination – appeared to be somewhat confused by the idea of the Palestinian “right of return” to Israeli territory.

So Herman has no position on his own nor understands the Israeli's position of the issue? Great.

Christian Science Monitor: Mitch Daniels Out, Where Are GOP Candidates?

Source: Christian Science Monitor

From the link:

Citing family considerations, Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels says he will not run for president. That leaves the rest of the GOP field angling for position at a time when many Republicans are less than thrilled with the current choices.
So what do "Republicans" want? I cannot understand this.
